| I have several friends that love to deer hunt. Recently, they have been working on me to try and get me involved in the sport. Up until recently, I just haven't been all that interested in taking up the sport. I don't have any problem with hunting or anything, in fact, I consider myself an avid fisherman so outdoor sports are great to me. Truth is, when I was in my teens and early twenties, I loved to go dove and duck hunting. The real reason that I have never hunted bigger game is my unwillingness to clean my prey. I wouldn't shoot an animal I didn't want to clean and eat. It is as simple as that. But I do like deer. I took this image in Guntersville Alabama a few weeks back. It is very easy to see deer there because no one is shooting at them. I took Emily and that day we saw at least fifty. It was just before dusk and a real treat. She loved it for sure. Next year, though, I may go on a hunt with my friends. We'll just have to wait and see. |
