| I have to tell you a story about today's posting, as well as the next couple that you will see. I challenged myself to take a series of images using manual focus, metering, and a 50mm lens (the cheap $79.00 one from Canon). Using manual settings forces me to think about my image, makes me work to get it right. Using the 500mm lens takes away the comfort of the normal 24-105 zoom I usually use. Metering in total manual mode mean if I get a good image, it's because I did all of the work, not the camera. Even though I have been taking pictures over half of my life, I still need a challenge. Hopefully, things will turn out right. I guess the nest few images will tell. If you like these images, please let em know. |
