Self Portrait - Saturday January 10, 2009 07:18 pm
I have never really been happy with the way I look. Never.

So I thought I would face my demons and share them with the world, blemishes and all. It's high time I accepted this is who I am and how I look. Needless to say, there is no retouching done on this image. (Unless you count color adjustment of my shirt before I went to grayscale)

So here it is, my very first self portrait. It was tough to shoot by myself but after about thirty minutes, I figured out how to get what I was going for.

I'll try to post something pretty again soon. Oh, and that black background is real. I took this image in my backyard at night. Using the rules of light falloff, I knew that as close to the camera as I was, there would be no background. At least I remembered my technical photography training.
